The basic solution can be upgraded with sensors within the vehicle to alert on key changes in conditions; video both within and outside the vehicle; biometrics to ensure the integrity of the driver; critical real-time information directly transmitted to decision makers via multiple media bearers. The in-vehicle systems can be further augmented by high level analytics of localised information that might have an impact on either convoy tracking or any particular vehicle within the associated area.
