PackMaster Series
The PackMaster series is a pioneering range of personal and vehicle tracking solutions. The first handheld GPS systems of their kind, the Whisper and Lo-Pro II (pictured left) provide an emergency alert and text messaging capability anywhere in the world.
Tracking
The PackMaster series operates on the Iridium satellite network, which offers complete global coverage and the option of AES-256 bit encryption. Compact and robust, the device is versatile enough to be used on the dashboard of a vehicle or aircraft.
The reporting rate can be changed as required, from one minute intervals upwards. Waypoint marking and ‘check-in’ messages are also supported, all controlled through the device’s LCD screen.
Panic alarm
When the panic button is pushed, audible and visual alerts appear on the C4i Platform. Notification of the alarm is also automatically forwarded by SMS and e-mail to nominated recipients.
Text Messaging
2-way text messaging is provided between the device and the C4i Platform. Free text and predefined canned messages are supported. The Whisper unit also provides 'advanced messaging' capabilities whereby messages can be sent not only to the C4i Platform but to other Whisper units, e-mail accounts and to mobile phones via SMS.
Battery Life
Impressive battery life allows for the transmission of up to 1,000 messages on a single charge (roughly 10 days of continuous operation at 15-minute position reporting).
