MNA - Messaging and Navigation Application

This option will allow remote users to communicate using short messages over a reliable satellite communications network.

The Track24 Messaging and Navigation Application (MNA) enhances the functionality of our satellite-based security tracking devices. A PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) acts as a two-way text messaging device between our crisis management software, the C4i web platform, and the asset being tracked, thus extending the command and control capacity of the Track24 solution. It also enables users to monitor the performance of the tracking device.

In addition to a messaging and monitoring capability, this option provides a navigational aid. GPS positional information is fed into the MNA in latitude/longitude and MGRS format, including speed and altitude readings. This data is displayed on the PDA's digital mapping for both navigational use and to enable remote workers to confirm their location quickly. The navigation application allows users to follow pre-planned routes whilst the data logger allows the actual journeys to be downloaded onto a PC.

A rescaled and enhanced version of the MNA is also available for tablet or laptop PCs. It affords users of Track24’s satellite-based tracking devices – the Armadillo, PackMaster and Guardian – full MNA functionality but on a full-sized screen interface (see image on the left).
