TrackMe: an essential tool for personnel in remote areas

TrackMe is a groundbreaking new product that significantly enhances the utility of a Thuraya satellite phone. It combines the voice capability of the Thuraya SO-2510 with a tracking and emergency alert facility.

Once TrackMe is fitted, the phone can continue to be used as normal, while, simultaneously, the user's location and status are monitored remotely. Position reports are transmitted from TrackMe to the C4i Platform via the Thuraya satellite network. The frequency of reports can be configured remotely from the C4i Platform. Monitoring staff can also poll the unit with an onscreen click, prompting it to send its current position.

When the panic button is pressed operations staff will quickly have accurate location details on the C4i platform, allowing an appropriate response to be initiated. At the same time the C4i platform will automatically generate SMS and e-mail alerts to specified emergency contacts.
